BINOF (Bibanja National Owners' Forum) is a membership-based organization that brings bibanja-holders (bonafide occupants) together with land titleholders (landlords) to amicably resolve land disputes through negotiation round-tables. We work to curb land fraud and promote peaceful coexistence between parties.

A Bibanja refers to the land rights of a bonafide occupant in Uganda. A bonafide occupant is someone who has continuously occupied land for at least 12 years without objection from the registered owner. BINOF helps protect and advocate for the rights of bibanja holders across Uganda.

Any individual or organization that holds a bibanja (land occupied by a bonafide occupant) or is a land titleholder in Uganda can become a member. We also welcome legal practitioners, surveyors, and land rights advocates to join our network.

To become a member, contact us through our contact page or visit our office. You'll need to provide proof of your land occupation or ownership, and our team will guide you through the registration process.

We offer Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) services including mediation, negotiation, and arbitration. Our trained mediators facilitate peaceful resolution of land disputes between bibanja holders and landlords, helping parties reach mutually acceptable agreements without lengthy court battles.

SOFTAS (Statutory Off-Title Adaptation Scheme) is a government initiative that allows bonafide occupants to obtain land titles for land they have occupied for years. BINOF guides members through the SOFTAS application process, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with requirements.

BINOF provides legal advisory services related to land rights, bibanja claims, and property disputes. Our team includes legal experts who can guide you on your rights and the best course of action for your specific situation.

PPDA (Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets) certification indicates that BINOF is recognized as a credible organization in land dispute resolution. This certification ensures our members that we adhere to professional standards in our services.
